PDF Studio · Last updated 29 September 2026

This policy explains what PDF Studio does with your information. The short version is that PDF Studio is built to keep your documents on your own phone. Most of what the app does never leaves your device, and the app has no accounts and no sign-in.

PDF Studio ("the app", "we", "us") is published by Vitrix Technology. By using the app you agree to this policy. If you do not agree with it, please stop using the app.

1. Files you work on

Most tools in PDF Studio run entirely on your device. When you merge, split, reorder, rotate, compress, watermark, add page numbers, turn photos into a PDF, or read a PDF or Word file, the file is handled on your phone and is not uploaded anywhere.

A few tools need software that cannot run on a phone, so for those the file is sent over an encrypted connection to our conversion server, processed, and sent back to you. These tools are:

When you use one of these, the uploaded file and its result are stored only for as long as it takes to finish the job and are then deleted automatically within about 30 minutes. We do not open, read, keep, or share the contents of your files, and they are never used for advertising or any other purpose.

If you use "Add a password" or "Remove a password", the password you type is sent to the conversion server so it can lock or unlock that one file. It is used only for that operation and is not stored afterwards. As a precaution, avoid reusing a password that protects other important accounts.

2. Information collected automatically

PDF Studio uses a small number of Google services to keep the app running, understand crashes, and show ads. Through these services the app may collect standard technical information such as your device model, operating system version, app version, general usage events (for example which tools are opened), crash reports, and an advertising identifier. This information is not used to identify you personally.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of PDF Studio shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier to show and measure ads. In regions that require it, such as the EEA and the UK, the app shows a consent screen where you can choose whether ads are personalised, and you can change that choice later from the app settings. You can read how Google handles this data in the Google Privacy Policy and at how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Analytics and stability (Firebase)

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to see how the app is used in aggregate and to find and fix crashes, and Firebase Remote Config to adjust settings such as ad frequency without shipping an update. These collect usage and diagnostic data, not the contents of your files.

3. Permissions the app asks for

PDF Studio only asks for a permission when a feature needs it, and the app keeps working if you say no.

Opening a PDF or Word file that already exists on your device uses your phone's built in file picker, which grants access to just that one file and needs no special permission.

4. Purchases

PDF Studio offers an optional premium upgrade that removes ads and export limits. Payments are handled entirely by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your card or payment details.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. Information is processed only by the service providers that make the app work, namely Google (AdMob and Firebase) and the hosting provider that runs our conversion server. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

6. Children

PDF Studio is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

7. Data retention and security

Files sent to the conversion server are deleted automatically within about 30 minutes. Analytics and crash data are retained according to Firebase's standard retention settings. Data in transit is protected with encryption (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Your choices

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be highlighted inside the app.
